We were quite surprised when we were checking in at the Milla Milla caravan park to discover that they had a tree kangaroo and her joey living on the property and they saw them almost every day. And yes sure enough after we had set up on our site the owner was able to show us the mum asleep way up in a tree branch.

The next day we say this one - yes there is one in the photo and no its not a possum. Turns out that the tree kangaroos are almost as big a draw card as the tea at Nerada.
