After managing to get the washing done yesterday we decided to head to the western end of the island and work our way back.
It looks as if a lot of Flinders Chase National Park is closed for pig control but in actuality all the main tourist attractions are open.
This is Admiral Arch.
Admiral Arch.
A longer lens allowed me to photograph these seals under the arch.
Cape du Couedic Lighthouse.
Is that a jetty all the way down there?
It certainly is. This was the jetty used to receive all supplies for the lighthouse keepers. Originally all goods were brought manually from the jetty up the cliff face. This channel was then manually cut through the rock to allow a flying fox to be used to haul the goods up.
Remarkable rocks.
Remarkable rocks.
This is the formation that is most recognisable but I found it almost the least interesting.
Remarkable rocks.
I found other weathered rocks more interesting.
Remarkable rocks.
I didn't expect to find this face.

Remarkable rocks.
We spent the night in the council camp site at Vivonne Beach. While not free or even cheap 22.50 with limited facilities it was a great location. this beach and fresh water creek was just over a rise.
It was right near the mouth of the creek.
The beach just after sunrise.
Where for a fee you can walk on the beach with the Australian Sea Lions.
An overview of the site. The closest board walk while still costing to walk out there is cheaper than the guided walk along the restricted board walk and down onto the beach like the small group of people in the distance.
The Sea Lions do not restrict themselves and are all through the low coastal heath well up from the beach. When it is cold they have ventured all the way into the visitor car park. This young lady is almost blocking our way on the path down to the boardwalk.
Chilling out in the penthouse.
One of the few shots I got of one of the bulls
This pup and mum are right under the board walk. The pup is only 3 or 4 days old.
An interloper poking his nose about.
This beach and protected rock pool swimming area is Stokes Bay claim to fame.
To get to the sandy beach and protected rock pool you need to go through a rocky path and hand carved tunnel.
This was the most well defined rainbow I have seen for quite awhile.
I hope whoever owns this house purchased a casket ticket.
No this rainbow did not signal the end of the rain. It was the end of one shower and the start of another.
