Getting There.
The start of our ferry crossing to Tasmania. We are at the wharf in plenty of time to board the Spirit of Tasmania. Drove over the West Gate Bridge, saw some hot air balloons drifting over the city and now the sunrise as we wait in line to board.
Getting here in this era of COVID and interstate boarders with permits required has been an adventure. To get into Victoria we had to "transit" through New South Wales. Residents of New South Wales are not allowed into Victoria without at least a COVID test and associated isolation. We transited in one day - 12.5 hours straight down the Newell Highway so that we didn't have to isolate and can now board the Spirit and enter Tassie.
Underway
Casting off the mooring lines.
We waited in line for along time and were tormented by watching a lot of other vehicles leap frog us and board ahead of us. We are however parked two vehicles from the unloading ramp. First off?
